This section carries content related tot he Relational Model as introduced by E.F. Codd around 1970.

The authors Date and Darwen have published much on the Relational Model and are in my opinion deviating from the original model in quite fundamental ways.
Date and Darwen proceed to refer to their work as the "Relational Model".

This is in my opinion a misrepresentation of fact because of the significant logical differences between the relational model as defined by Codd and the work presented as such by Date and Darwen.
